My Top 5 Low-Carb Life Tips

As one of the founders here at Schoolyard Snacks, many of you have come to me asking for advice on various topics related to Keto and living a low carb lifestyle (whether it’s the latest gadgets, recipes, apps, products, etc.) 

But the other day, I realized that many more of you would find the various tips I’m recommending helpful!

Today I’m starting a new series of emails called “5 Helpful Things” where every week I share 5 things that I have recently discovered that pairs well with a healthy, low carb lifestyle. 

Anyway, here are my first 5 recommendations! 

  • 1. I’m obsessed with my mini heart shaped waffle maker from Dash. I love that it makes a cute waffle just big enough for a little snack, and the heart shape just makes it that much sweeter! I made one for Dylan as a surprise recently and he absolutely flipped out (no pun intended). Here’s a recipe I posted a while back for low carb waffles that you can try!

  • 2. I made delicious Keto Mozzarella Sticks last weekend using my handy air fryer. This one I got from Amazon is a pretty solid deal and great if you’re like me and don’t have a lot of kitchen counter space. 
  • 3. I recently got an Apple Watch as a gift for myself and have been obsessed with the Breathe app. I love that it reminds me to take a break in the middle of the day to just focus on my breathing for one minute. It’s insane how much more relaxed I feel after just a minute!
  • 4. Have you heard of yoga for your face? I came across these face exercises recently and started doing them daily. I think I look more...radiant?

  • 5. It’s been a hot summer, and I definitely haven’t been drinking as much water as I should, so I started carrying around a 1 Gallon Water Bottle with me to work. It may get me a few stares but trust me, it does the job! By the way, did you know that not drinking enough water also triggers food cravings?
