
For some of us ‘French toast’ used to be our favorite breakfast item until wheat flour bread became a big no no. Scratch that! With this incredibly simple, keto-friendly recipe you’ll be tempted to make French toast every chance you get. Only 6g net carbs and totally tasty for breakfast or as a dessert. Enjoy.
Ingredients
- 4 slices Low Carb Bread (we used Sola)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp Whole Milk
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 bags Fruity Cereal
Instructions
1- Beat the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
2- Pulse the cereal in a food processor until you have a fine crumb and add to a shallow dish.
3- Dip a slice of low carb bread into the egg mixture, then coat both sides in the crushed cereal. Fry in a skillet coated with non-stick spray over medium heat; about 1 minute on each side.
4- Repeat with the remaining bread and top with whipped cream and sugar-free syrup!
